The Constellarium is home to a galaxy-based species called "Starborns." Starborns are a Pony Town exclusive species for now, since I don't have the artistic skill (or money to commission) a proper guide; this may change.Starborns are odd creatures mostly made up of pure black void and stardust. They can come in many shapes in sizes, varying from mighty dragons to humanoid shapes. They have (at least) two stars that light up the void of their body, and it acts as their mind and heart. The stardust is what really gives them shape, like their arms and legs and tails. They live amongst each other in groups called "constellations," building dens in a large lush cave system. They barter and trade, celebrate holidays, and form communities. They even occasionally leave the Constellarium to migrate together under the protection of the moon.More information on their lore and a full guide to making one is available in the server. Joining the server IS required to make one.WARNING: Due to personal anxieties and the controversy, lumens aren't allowed in the server and WILL be banned if they ignore this warning.

All the Starborns live in a large cave system filled with moss, water, and unique plants. "Constellarium" is simply a combination of "constellation" and "terrarium," due to the inner caves being a full environment where these star creatures live. Most Starborns stay in this cave because it's safe for them, far from the sunlight of the surface. Any place that gets too bright would be abandoned without hesitation.Due to the lack of sunlight in the cave, not many "normal" things grow. Because of this there's many unique plants among the few things that can survive in these caves; For example, a curved "Fallen Star Tree" that grows a melon-like fruit called a Fallen (or false) Starfruit. These trees even work as frames to determine where a Starborn should form their burrow in the cave.
Moonborns are a rare subspecies of Starborn. Despite being "stronger" than Starborns, they never live alone, always amongst each other and a Starborn or two. They're much dimmer, so they rely on the light of the Starborns' stars; meanwhile, Starborns rely on the protection of the Moonborns' solid form to keep them safe from the brightness if they're caught outside in the day.Moonborns are unique in the way that they form their own mini communities, "Orbits." Usually a Starborn will be the leader, and Moonborns of a similar theme will gather around; like a little club.Since Moonborns are a rarer subspecies, they're not openly given out or made. The "Planetoid" role, which gives access to the ability to make Moonborns, will be obtained through giveaways or any other method I can think of to keep them as rare as they should be.
The Constellarium itself was inspired by Minecraft's lush caves, since it's able to sustain life and grow trees (Azalea are actually bushes, but Minecraft makes them whole trees). The Constellarium even straight up just has glow berries, since that's where the whole environment started - the berries are gold, round, high up, and glow. Basically stars, fitting for a star themed species to live in. Plus the Deep Dark parts of Minecraft caves, since sculk blinks like blue stars and gives a very pretty night sky effect.
Fun fact: Sculk is very similar to and likely based off of glowworms in caves.Starborns are based on deep-sky astrophotography. Basically, fancy talk for taking pictures of nebulas. They're based on the super HD photos that shows all the pretty colors.. And well, nebulas are named weirdly. For example, the Cat's Eye nebula. You could simply make a Starborn called Cat's Eye Starborn and it'd fit in just fine. Crab nebula, Horsehead nebula, Tarantula nebula.. No different from Axolotl Starborn, Apple Starborn or Salmon Philly Roll Starborn. Starborns are more or less just.. Sentient nebulas shaped like whatever creature you want, anthro or feral.
